Out of our dreams and into our arms...

Wow! And there you have it. Three short years ago, at 10:00 PM on the Fourth of July, our precious Matthew began making his way into the world.

After fourteen hours of labor and three pushes later, our little bundle of joy was finally in our arms.

Meeting our Matthew for the first time, and watching him grow for the past three years has been the most amazing experience ever. Watching him grow from a tiny baby to a smart, fiesty, full of energy three year-old boy has been so amazing. As The Bible defines "Matthew" as "a gift from God", our little boy is exactly that.

Happy 3rd Birthday Matthew!!! Mommy, Daddy, and Jacob love you!!!

Auntie Kelly's Visit...

Auntie Kelly came all of the out to Cali from Ohio to visit Mattie & Jackie. We got to do so many fun things while she was here. Mattie really loved going to to dinner to Duke's and The Matsu, which were two places he had never been before. He got to walk out on the Huntington Beach pier, and got to see people fishing. A fisherman had just caught a sting ray. He thought that was the coolest thing ever. And, of course, watching the teppan chef cook our food at The Matsu as another fun thing Mattie talked about for weeks. Jake enjoyed all of the hugs and kisses from his auntie. We all had a great visit. Hopefully Auntie Kelly will come back soon!!!

One of our Easter-themed playdates was at Irvine Park. Matthew had such a good time visiting the Easter Bunny, decorating and hiding Easter Eggs, bouncing in the many bounce houses, and going on a hay ride. And of course, riding the train around the park. Irvine Park has to be one of Mattie's most favorite places to go. We had a great time, even Jacob!!!
