Alex & Jackie's Wedding

Jackie, our Cast Tech. at work, got married on December 16th. She, and her husband Alex, celebrated with a reception at their house on Friday, December 19th. Being that we are all "one big family" at work, we all got together and helped the happy couple with a reception they would never forget. After eating dinner and opening lots of gifts, we headed to the Extremes for a night of fun. Alex and Jackie met at Extremes last year. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Quiroz!

Visit with Santa

Last week I took Matthew to Rascals to Rebels in Huntington Beach to get his picture taken with Santa. I chose to take him there because it was a fundraiser to raise money for breast cancer. Matthew was not scared at all. He had a great time and I got some great shots.

Santa Hats...

Doggy kisses...
Okay...So, we already know, I'm a big dork. I am so excited for Christmas this year that I felt the need to get both Mattie and Paulie Santa hats for Christmas. Even more, a photo shoot to follow. The three of us had so much fun taking pictures. Okay. I think I had the most fun. Anyways, here are some of the pics of our photo shoot in the guest bedroom. Histerical, I must say!

CHOC Christmas Party

Lance & Brenda hosted this year's work Christmas party at their home in Irvine. It was so great to see everyone and to wish them a Merry Christmas. Matthew also had a blast, as he cannot get enough attention these days! He was a trooper and would not go to bed there. I think he stayed up until almost 10:30. Our little night owl!

Matthew is Five Months Old!

Today I took Matthew to his pediatrician's office for two of his shots. Today he received the hib and the Prevnar vaccine. I have been following Dr. Sear's vaccine protocol and have been taking Matthew every month for two shots. This routine has been working very well for him. And of course, they weighed him today. Matthew weighed in at 17 pounds and 9 ounces. Wow! One BIG boy! And, as of yesterday, our little man is able to sit up on his own. My mom told me that he was sitting up yesterday while she was babysitting him. And, I got to witness this today. It is so amazing to watch him grow and grow. He is such a precious gift from God!

Matthew's First Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year, Kelly and Vince were in town. We had them over for Thanksgiving brunch. After stuffing ourselves, we headed to La Verne, to Grandma and Grandpa Goodrich's house, for Thanksgiving dinner. When we arrived at their house, Grandma Carole had the Christmas tree tied on the top of the 56 Chevy. We all posed in front of the car for our Christmas pictures this year. We got some great shots.....To follow.

Our Hot Date

For my birthday, my wonderful husband took me on a "hot date" to our favorite restaurant, The Matsu. Grandma and Grandpa Goodrich watched Matthew while we went out and had a night to ourselves. Thank you, honey...I love you!

Matthew's First Haircut

My good friend and hairdresser, Karyn, came over the other day to give Matthew his first haircut. Matthew definitely needed a "hair make-over", as for the past few months, Matthew had on the back of his head, what Mike and I called, the "dirty patch". The "dirty patch" was this thick and long patch of hair, very prominent on the back of his head. And, the rest of his head had sparse patches, complete with long and short hair intertwined throughout. Not a good look for Matthew. So, Mike and I invited Karyn over to do an overhaul on Matthew's hair. Matthew enjoyed his haircut very much. He is very ticklish and laughed the entire time. After the haircut was complete, Matthew emerged a new and changed man.
Karyn is working wonders on Matthew's mane.

Playdate at Central Park

My good friend Heidi and I, took our boys to Central Park to play. She has two little boys, Matteo and Noah. It was so much fun to watch Matthew gawk over the two older boys who were playing and running around like crazy.

Matthew FINALLY Sleeps Through the Night!!!

Wow! So, patiently Mike and I awaited for the night to come when Matthew would sleep through the night. Granted, he has been sleeping much better for the past several weeks. However, he still would awaken quite frequently with some "touch and go" episodes of crying, moaning, growning, etc. But..................Last night was a new chapter in, what we hope, will be a new story for Matthew. A story of good sleep for all. Mommy and daddy are super energetic today, as Matthew slept, without making a peep, from 10:30 PM until 5:30 AM. We are so excited! And, he is starting to really love his crib. For those of you who may know, transitioning to his crib was very tough for Matthew, as he was absolutely in love with his cradle swing. He does give his mommy heart palpitations on a regular basis though, as his favorite sleeping position is on his tummy with his nose buried into the mattess. Can I say, WTF???

Matthew's Horsey

Matthew's grandparents got him this jumparoo horse when he was born. Mike and I put it together last weekend, and.....Well, riding his horse is his favorite thing to do. Mike and I can watch him for hours. It is histerical!

Erin's 32nd Birthday!

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Because my birthday falls exactly six months before hers, Tasha ALWAYS feels the need to remind me how much OLDER I am than her, hence the statement on the envelope of my birthday card.
So, this year, I had two theories regarding my birthday...
Theory #1: If I ignore my birthday, it will go away.
Theory #2: Regardless of whether or not I ignore my birthday, I will still be 32, so I might as well celebrate. .. So, what does a mom of a four-month old want more than anything??? REST AND RELAXATION!!! Therefore, I decided a spa day with the girls was just what the doctor ordered. So, me and a few of my good friends had a spa day at Carmen's Spa in Huntington Beach. We ate, drank lots of wine, got pampered, drank wine, got massages, talked, oh, and did I mention, we drank wine.
Thank you girls, for making me feel extra special on my bday!
I love you!

Matthew's Four Month Pediatrician Visit

Matthew had his four month well-baby check up with his pediatrician today. I was so curious to see how much he has grown, since his last visit at two months of age. Matthew now weighs exactly 17 pounds, placing him in the 95th percentile for weight. He is going to be one tall dude, with his height measuring at 27 1/2 inches, placing him at the 100th percentile for height. He also had two of his vaccines today and did very well. And, Matthew also did something very "BIG" today. I laid him on the floor to go grab my phone really quick....Matthew rolled over onto his tummy. I could not believe it, as I was not expecting it. He just amazes me every day!

Matthew's First Halloween...

For Halloween this year, Mike and I took Matthew to Josh and Megan's neighborhood to go trick-or-treating. It was so much fun to walk around and see all of the kiddos all dressed up. Matthew had such a great time riding around in his stroller. And, I must say, he does make a pretty cute turtle.

Our Little Oinker

Okay...So, this is what happens when Grandma watches Mattie. Because he eats from a bottle when Grandma feeds him, Matt feels the need to just absolutely "GORGE" himself. He gets so full that he urps everywhere. This is what I came home to after my first day of work. HISTERICAL!!!

Mattie's Other Mommy...

So, I started back to work two weeks ago. It is actually going very well. The first day was a little rough, just trying to get back into the swing of things. However, nonetheless, I cannot complain. And, it seems that Mattie and Grammie are doing just fine as well. They seem to love their days together. It is so much easier to go to work, knowing that Mattie will be getting just as much love from Grandma as I would be giving him. So, it's a win-win for everyone!!!

Such a Big Boy...

Matthew's new favorite thing...Stroller rides "big boy" style. Instead of placing him in his carseat on top of the stroller, Mattie now likes to roll like a big boy. He just LOVES looking all around. Seriously, I could walk him for five hours and he would still be entertained. So darn cute!!!

Mark & Steph's Wedding!

Our good friends, Mark and Stephanie, wed on Friday, October 17th. Unfortunately, Mike was not able to go because he had to work. Instead, I brought my good friend Carrie with me, as my date. The wedding was so beautiful. And of course, Stephanie looked beautiful as well. It was very nice to get out and get some adult interaction.
Congratulations to The Osbornes! We love you!

The Baby Einstein Jumper

I rely on Matthew's many contraptions to get through my day. Otherwise I think my house would be an absolute disaster, because I would get nothing done. Lately, Matthew's favorite contraption is his Baby Einstein Jumper. I must admit, it is way too big for him. His feet don't quite touch the ground, and I need to shove a blanket in front of him to prop him up, but nonetheless, he loves this thing. So, tonight I was doing what all great housewives do...the dishes, and I hear a banging noise. At first I thought it was Paulie messing with Mattie, so I ran into the living room. Nope! Not Paulie! Matthew was spinning the little green frog. I started busting up! I really could not believe my eyes. It made me so happy that he has started to really associate objects and find an interest in them. And, as of Sunday, he has really discovered his vocal cords. He has cooed for a while now, but now, he just keeps getting louder and louder. And, he cracks himself up, which is just histerical for me to watch. What a character!!! We love him so much!!!

Daddy's Little Angels Fan

The sweetest thing....My good friend Donna, who is a HUGE Angels fan, bought Mattie this Angels hat when he was born. So, the other night, during the Angel's game, I walk out into the living room and see this...Daddy put Mattie's Angels hat on him, and sure enough, they were watching the Angel's game together. I could not resist! I had to get a picture of this! Love it!

Matthew's First Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

"The Girls" got together and decided to make a trip to the Irvine Regional Park Pumpkin patch so that the kiddies could experience their first pumpkin patch. It was so fun to watch all of the little ones climb all over the pumpkins. Of course, Matthew is still to small to really take it all in, however, he did seem to have a really good time. I think he must have enjoyed looking all around during the train ride the most. Of course, I think Matthew will have a much better time next year when he is a little older, especially with all of the girls to chase after.
Lovin' my binkie!
