Hot Date with Auntie Tina

Mattie's First Trip to the Fair
While daddy spent several much needed, relaxing days at Lake Mohave with The Ritter's, Mattie and I spent some time with Grandma and Grandpa. We took Mattie to the LA County Fair. He absolutely loved it! He loved looking at all of the bright lights and all of the people. He also takes after his mommy, because he loved all of the animals. It was the funniest thing...He just stared and stared at these crazy looking Watusi Cows. I guess their dark color and big horns caught his eye. And, I think I am going to take Mattie to the fair every night...When we got home, he passed out and slept a whopping six hours straight!!!
Happy Birthday Leigh!

Happy Birthday!!! We love you!!!

Matthew's Two- Month Pediatrician Visit
Matthew saw Dr. Rees, his pediatrician, yesterday, for his two-month well-baby check. Matthew is doing very well. I was so curious to see how much he weighs. I was thinking around 12 pounds or so. Wrong! Matthew weighs 14 pounds, 10 ounces. Wow! That explains why I am up so much at night feeding him. He is a HOG! So, needless to say, Matthew is in the 95% for weight. He has grown from 20 inches at birth to 23 3/4 inches, placing him in the 85% for height. His head circumference is 40 cm, which is also at the 85th percentile. Our son is a growing and thriving little boy how checked out to be just "perfect". He is also reaching his milestones at the right times. Mike and I have enjoyed watching him smile and coo at us. He is just too cute for words. And, Matthew did has some of his vaccines yesterday. Mommy was kind of a mess in the morning, know that her precious little son would have to get poked. Mike and I have chosen to do Dr. Sear's alternate vaccine schedule. We are so relieved that Matthew's pediatrician will accomodate this for us. So, Matthew will be going once a month for two injections. He did absolutely fabulous yesterday. He did not even flinch while receiving his injection. And, no fever or reactions. He's a little tired, which works for me because he actualy slept about 9 hours last night, only waking twice. WOW!
